The velocities, shown with black arrows, generally agree with the Nuvel-1A model, shown in orange. The data show the spreading of the plates and imply that the rifting is mostly taken up by the Eastern Volcanic Zone, and not the Western, as episodic network measurements support.
The network has been gradually expanding and this year 3 sites were installed and hence the large unceirtanties.
In general we are looking for deviations from the "normal" plate spreading. Deviations are seen
a) near this subglacial Volcano, called Katla, which is inflating
b) ISAK - inflation of Hekla Magma Chamber or just short time series?
